Got guilt?

This Life was the light of men!

This Life was the light of men!

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, (cleansed), would have had no more consciousness of sin. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. ~ Hebrews 10:1-4

The big debate these days is over the issue of forgiveness; and since we refuse to step into the true ministry of reconciliation we have been made sufficient in by Jesus Christ Himself, so many brothers and sisters are walking around in guilt infested fear of God! By not preaching and teaching the saints solely about the New Covenant & reconciliation, they are being beat to death not only by the enemy, but by their emotions and a misunderstanding of who God really is and what He did through His Son Jesus Christ!

Our Father already had a system that was used as a means to try and relieve the Jews from shame and guilt; however, it never fully cleansed them. Those sacrifices were just a shadow of what was going to take place when the Messiah came, who was going to be the final sacrifice once for all! I believe the reason many saints do not realize they have been put under the same system using 1 John 1:9 is because they:  1. Are not Jewish, and, 2. their ancestors did not live in all that sacrificing stuff. I got news for ya’ saints! It did not cleanse their guilty conscience and you’re ritualistic 1 John 1:9ing won’t either! You are still guilty in your mind and conscience and have not had your heart sprinkled with the pure blood of Jesus Christ. In other words, you have not been reconciled! Because if you had, you would be free from the guilt and shame of your past! Entering into the New Covenant brings reconciliation because as God does not remember our lawless deeds we did in our sin of unbelief, we shouldn’t either. I mean seriously; by continually asking God to forgive you is an equivalent to the Jews trying to continue in blood sacrifices, which the writer of Hebrews tells them is as good as trampling the Son of God underfoot and counting the blood of the covenant a common thing and insulting the spirit of grace?

Now if we want to feel guilty about something, let it be over our ignorance in that! However, God’s grace abounds and is sufficient to complete the work He started in you!

Thus God determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. ~ Hebrews 6:17-20

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest of Holies by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from and evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful! ~ Hebrews 10:19-23

Now brothers and sisters, it should be obvious that the writer of Hebrews was earnestly trying to encourage the Jews away from the old system and traditions and into the New Covenant He had promised them! Therefore, by the mercies of God and His great love He poured out to us, I beseech you to enter into the New Covenant and be reconciled! Reconciliation to our loving Father brings a peace like nobody’s business, and sets us free to be who He created us to be; His workmanship, created for goods works! Got peace??

Peace out….Lisa
